Iranian Cleric Condemns US President’s ‘Reckless Rhetoric,’ Reaffirms Unwavering Support for Leader of Islamic Revolution

A senior Iranian cleric has strongly condemned what he described as “reckless and offensive remarks” by the US president against the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, warning that continued threats and insults reflect a long history of arrogance and political decay among oppressive powers.

Hawzah News Agency- Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Saeedi, custodian of the holy shrine of Lady Fatima Masouma (peace be upon her) in the city of Qom and Friday prayer leader of the city, issued a statement denouncing any form of verbal or political aggression against the institution of Wilayat al-Faqih and the Leader of the Islamic Republic.

Citing a Quranic verse that recalls the downfall of tyrannical rulers throughout history— “How many generations We destroyed before them, and they cried out when there was no longer any chance of escape”—Ayatollah Saeedi said history is replete with examples of arrogant rulers whose irresponsible words and actions ultimately led to their own ruin.

He said today’s “war-mongering and bloodthirsty forces,” who openly commit crimes across the world and trample on fundamental human and divine values, are following the same destructive path as their predecessors. According to the cleric, such figures mistakenly believe that threats and insults can weaken the resolve of nations that are deeply rooted in faith and resistance.

Ayatollah Saeedi described the Leader of the Islamic Revolution as a divinely inspired leader, stressing that any attempt to threaten or insult this position is not merely an attack on an individual, but an affront to the religious, national, and moral identity of the Iranian nation.

He warned that those who engage in such hostile rhetoric are ignoring a fundamental reality: the Iranian nation stands united behind its leadership. “Men firm as iron,” he said, will rally around the Leader and decisively confront anyone who dares to disrespect or threaten the foundations of the Islamic Republic.

Reaffirming his full alignment with the Iranian people, Ayatollah Saeedi declared that the nation has repeatedly demonstrated its steadfast support for the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and will continue to do so. He emphasized that the Iranian Islamic Ummah will respond firmly to any aggression, whether from foreign adversaries or their domestic and regional collaborators.

“The era of unaccountable threats and verbal provocations has come to an end,” he said, adding that those who overstep their bounds will be confronted and “put back in their place” by a vigilant and resilient nation.

Ayatollah Saeedi concluded his statement by invoking the Quranic declaration: “All honor belongs to God, His Messenger, and the believers,” underscoring that dignity, authority, and legitimacy ultimately rest with faith, resistance, and the will of the people.
